Christine is a fully qualified English Language Teacher having attained a TEFL qualification whilst studying in Japan, Master’s in English Language Teaching from the University of Reading, and CELTA qualification from the University of Cambridge. She has been studying and working within the English Language Teaching profession for over twelve years in different institutions around the world and has run English Language schools here in the UK.

Christine attended the University of Winchester and completed a BA in English and Creative Writing which included a study abroad programme to become an English Language Teacher in Japan. This began her career and after completing her studies travelled to Hong Kong to start her first placement as an English Language Teacher based. Being a dedicated teacher, upon her return to the UK, she furthered her studies to better inform her teaching and this, in turn, gained her the position as Director of Studies at two different schools.

Over her years of experience, Christine has taught General English to all level of abilities and age ranges. She has experience in teaching pronunciation focused courses, business focused courses and exam skills classes, looking at Cambridge exams (A2 Key [KET], B1 Preliminary [PET], B2 First [FCE], C1 Advanced [CAE], C2 Proficiency [CPE]), Trinity exams, and IELTS.

A kind-natured teacher, Christine’s approach to teaching has always been to try to find what works best for the individual when learning. Working as a private tutor and giving personalised one-to-one tuition gives her the opportunity to build a rapport with the student and build a tailored course for them, in the hopes that through enjoyment, a relaxed environment and dedication to learning, students will improve and gain the level they want to achieve.
